Conti, Booker, Janus Rock the SP Chowdown
The competitive eaters consuming record quantities of food in the St. Patrick's Day Chowdown were the stars of the new Spike TV show. However, many felt that the eaters who were not at the table stole the show.
Crazy Legs Conti handed in a remarkable performance as co-host with Richard Shea, as did late-innings analyst Tim Janus, who moved from the stage to the announcers' booth after a brutal loss to Chip Simpson.
Eric Badlands Booker also failed to advance. However, his rapping was the hit of the show and prompted 5,000 (admittedly drunk) Savannahns to scream for more.
